10. Hermès
French fashion house famous for its fabulous handbags and scarves. Hermes makes around $2 billion an year. They make luxury goods since 1837. Designers for the house were Mariot Chane, Martin Margiela, Jean-Paul Gaultier, etc.
9. Versace
Gianni Versace was found in 1978 and probably everybody knows the brand is Italian. There is no surprise the luxury clothing, accessories, makeup and home furnishings created under the various brands of the Versace Group are famous all over the world.
8. Christian Louboutin
This designer makes shoes that will take your breath away. They are unique as they all have red soles. The main goal is to make the woman feel confident and special. That is also the favorite brand of Christina Aguilera who has more than 700 pairs.
7. Prada
The devil wears Prada – seriously! This brand is a statement, symbol, fashion icon. Did you know that in May 2007, Prada began producing even mobile phones in collaboration with LG Electronics. The brand makes roughly $1,7 billion an year.
6. Christian Dior
The brand has 160 boutiques all over the world and generates around $18 billion an year. The history of the fashion house is pretty interesting. With the death of its founder in 1957 it was very close to been shut down. To bring the label back on its feet, the general manager Rouët promoted the 21-year-old Yves Saint-Laurent to Artistic Director the same year. His success was huge however his 1960 bohemian look was harshly criticized. Marcel Boussac who was the financial supporter of the house was furious and in the spring, when Saint Laurent was called up to join the French army he was forced to leave the House of Dior—the Dior management raised no objection. Laurent was replaced at Dior by designer Marc Bohan in late 1960. The next famous designer as a head of the house was Gianfranco Ferré in 1989. Under the influence of Anna Wintour, editor and chief of Vogue, British designer John Galliano replaced Glanfranco Ferré in 1997. On 1 March 2011, Christian Dior officially announced that it had fired Galliano because of the scandal that arose earlier that year.

2. Louis Vuitton
French fashion house famous for their sunglasses, leather accessories, watches, clothes and all kind of nice shoes and purses. They make about $2,7 billion an year.
1. Gucci
GUCCI is found in 1921 by Guccio Gucci. It is rated by many “the best Italian brand” and makes around $1,2 billion an year.
