Woodrow Wilson Teaching Fellowship Program

Hello everybody! How was your Labor Day weekend? We normally don’t talk about education on My-Vogue however I found a very interesting program offered by the Woodrow Foundation. It will probably be useful for many of you who decide to spend their lives teaching others. This is a very noble profession and deserves attention. The Foundation was found in 1945 and since then supports the American education. The  Woodrow Wilson Teaching Fellowship is one of the  teaching fellowship programs which  provides recent college graduates and career changers in the fields of science, technology, engineering, or math with a $30,000 stipend to complete an intensive masters degree program at one of the seventeen participating universities across the mid-west (Indiana, Michigan and Ohio). According to the Business-Higher Education Forum by 2015 it is projected that 280,000 new math and science teachers will be needed in Americas public school classrooms. It is easy to apply, however you need to know first if your background makes you a good  candidate  for the program. If you have majored or do have a professional experience in any of the above mentioned fields,  have attained, or expect to attain by  June 30, 2012, a bachelor’s degree from an accredited U.S.  college or university, are a US citizen and  have achieved a cumulative undergraduate grade point average (GPA) of 3.0, please go to  http://www.wwteachingfellowship.org and fill in the  application  form. You may also request more information or read the FAQ section. The Woodrow Teaching program  focuses on students in high-poverty urban or rural schools. After completing the course the students will receive a teacher certification. Please visit the website for more information and to register for the program.
