How to Spice Up a Dark Outfit for Fall

You know how I like to talk about color matching and what not to wear. Today I read an interesting article on the top 10 fashion myths and it gave me an idea on how to wear clothes that according to the rules we shouldn’t pair together. I mean black and navy. Not that it is a big deal if you put on dark denims together with a black sweater, especially in the winter, but think about how much cuter would that outfit get if you add some magenta lipstick and maybe heels? Or red… That’s totally calling for a sexy look. Pairing two dark colors will make you feel gloomy, so why not brighten the picture with accessories or different color shoes and even make up. If you are not really a fan of those, something as little as the white collar of a shirt showing underneath that black sweater can make a difference. And if you are in a mood to make that yellow or pink – even better. Don’t let the others think you are not a sunny person and never in a mood just because you like wearing darker colored clothes. Experiment with the little things – belt, jewelry, hat, scarf, purse, shoes or make-up. Another good tip is: when pairing with black go for lighter hues of blue! Check out our outfit idea coming directly from AllSaints clothing boutique. With that look will start the “cute outfit for fall” series!
