Cute Outfits with harem pants is today’s hot topic. Everybody is saying how trendy are they this season but actually I am wearing harem pants for 4 years already and they are just getting trendier and trendier which only makes me happier! Despite of most people or mainly men thinking they are ugly and not sexy at all I am exactly the opposite – they are hot, chic and on top super comfortable. Now a little history from wikipedia so you will be aware of why they are so modern: the original Harem pants (also known as Hammer pants) are baggy pants tapered at the ankle, with side flaps on the hip that button at the waist area. The popularity of harem pants increased in the late 1980s with MC Hammer. Harem pants, which originated in India, are like a cross between a skirt and a pair of skinny jeans. The legs, from the knees down, are fitted. The crotch area is loose and baggy as if it were cut to be a skirt. Traditional harem pants can be extremely large and baggy, but those are not our favorite, right? We like the ones that are not too baggy or too wide and will still flatter our legs and body. But to get this effect you must pair them with high heels. My favorite option is gladiators, but cute summer sandals will do too. And remember – the pants are the star of the outfit, so all you need is a simple tank top and maybeee fancy earrings if you are preparing to hit the clubs. And that’s all – believe me they are eye-catching enough – I’ve experienced so many amazed glances that I know for sure! And that’s why I love those crazy and so “despicable” pants!
Again shopstyle helped me creating a fresh and chic mix of cute outfits featuring harem pants. The suggestions on the firts picture are designer’s and a little pricey: the patterned pants are from Alexander McQueen - $259.41; the gray ones with the side pockets from L.A.M.B. are discounted to $82.00; the studded leather harem trousers are from Preen and cost $464.00 and the second pair of gray ones are Elizabeth and James harem pants for $120.00
The second cute outfit I matched in dominant purple colors is more affordable. It features banded black harem pants available also in white for only $12.50 and drawstring harem pants in two colors – black or olive for $49.00.
I wish you happy “harem” shopping and if you have any questions on how to rock those super trendy pants you can always share in the comments – I will be happy to help you match a cute outfit!
