Top 10 Tips on Putting Together a Fall Outfit-part 2

And here they come – the next 5 tips on putting together a fall outfit:

  • Although I said that putting together an outfit starts with choosing the pants, sometimes it’s easier to begin with the top – let’s say you just bought that fancy mixed colored cami and you really want to wear it. Well you don’t have many choices for bottom apparel – you should either put on jeans or black pants to avoid too many colors. Or you feel like wearing tunic – only leggings or skinnies will work here. Or maybe just a normal white tank – then you can wear whichever bottom you want;
  • Shoes are probably the most eye-catching part of every outfit or at least I always notice people’s shoes. When choosing your daily pair probably the best thing is to figure out how you feel and for how long are you going to wear it. If you pick the shoes in the dominant color, the outfit will look very stylish. If you don’t have that color, black is always an option. And don’t forget to match the shoes with the purse and belt, if possible. I know sometimes it’s not. I bought a few days ago from Marshalls a gorgeous pair of suede pink heels although I knew I don’t have that color purse, even not many pink clothes. When I was matching the outfit with that pair, I chose everything in black except of a matching pink scarf – the outfit looked great and everybody noticed my shoes that day;
  • Of course when putting together a fall outfit we can not go out without some outerwear. Usually in the beginning of the season we may take just a light jacket or sweater, but in a couple of months, sometimes even earlier, we definitely need a coat. And because normally people don’t have too many coats, the outerwear is probably the easiest to choose from all the clothes. If you are planning on buying a new jacket this season and you already have one in a traditional color that still looks nice, but you are just tired of it, maybe a good idea will be to think of your favorite color or in what shades you tend to dress the most and buy the new coat in that particular hue. Also it looks very stylish if the outerwear is matched with the boots and purse;
  • Accessories – the part that makes the biggest difference in every outfit. If you can’t afford to buy new clothes so often, focus on accessories – get a few pieces in every color and just use them all the time. There are great places for cheap and beautiful accessories like Charlotte Russe, NY & Company, ALDO, etc. Always accessorize in the dominant color and you will see a huge difference in your outfit. Again the example with the blue outfit – I would chose blue earrings, necklace, headbands and even bracelet. For me the most important accessories are the earrings – I never go out of my apartment without some big fancy earrings and people always notice them, especially if they are in the matching color. When I don’t have accessories in the shades of my clothes, I wear silver;
  • Whatever you choose to wear, you must feel pretty and sexy. Everybody has those days when we are miserable and not that beautiful and I hate them. I hate to look in the mirror and not like what I am seeing. That’s why try to choose clothes that make you feel pretty, attractive and sexy, clothes that flatter your body shape and curves. Accessorize as much as you can and don’t forget to smile. If you like yourself, everybody will. Self-confidence is the key…
