10 Tips of Being Trendy with less money – part 2

So I am ready to continue the previous post and tell you about the rest of my tips for being trendy with less money:

6. Dress well for every occasion!

Usually we tend to buy nice and trendy clothes only for going out. To me and every lady considering herself as stylish and classy that idea is totally wrong. We can afford to be fabulous not only when we have a reason like a party, special dinner or a night out. There is a way to look good everywhere, even when chilling at home, without spending a lot of money. Let’s start with the working spot – I have been blogging a lot on the subject trendy and affordable clothes for work, but let me give you a few more suggestions from NY & Company:

City Stretch Ruffle Top 7th Avenue Wide Leg Flare Pant - Black Average

Price: $26.95                                                                            Price: $27.96

City Style Hardware Shirt City Style Pegged Crop

Price: $14.99                                                                              Price: $14.99

So dear ladies, we have to look good when we are at work and be as fabulous as when we are going on a date. That is valid for all other occasions such as going to the gym, to the mall, to the store, even when staying at home. Do not put your boyfriend’s old t-shirts and make yourself look  unkempt and messy. And please don’t get me wrong – I am not saying that we should all now start buying trendy clothes for chilling at home or going to the store, but we can always look deep in the closet and consider those old, but still fancy clothes that we loved so much back in the days, but will never put on again. So it’s better to enjoy them when hanging around in the weekends than to never wear again. If, by any chance, you still feel like spending money on lounge and sporty apparel, let me give you some affordable ideas by NY & Company and Charlotte Russe:

Comfort Zone Lounge Pant ComfortZone Pullover Hoodie

Price: $23.96                                                                                    Price: $14.97

Floral Ruffle Boxer Shorts Lace Crinkle Cami

Price: $9.99                                                                                    Price: $9.99

7. Focus on the accessories!

As I’ve probably mentioned hundreds of times already – the accessories are the easiest and the cheapest way to make one simple look very trendy and unique. And not only jewelry, but all kind of fashion accessories – scarves, hats, sunglasses, different hair-clasps, belts and so on. Of course a beautiful necklace or earrings or bracelet will make the outfit very feminine and shiny. Let’s see if some of our favourite online stores offers some nice affordable accessories:

Shell Charm Earrings Beaded Bracelets

Price: $4.00                                                                                        Price: $4.00

Buffalo Plaid Cadet Hat Striped Scarf

Price: $10.99                                                                                       Price: $8.99

The suggested accessories are from Charlotte Russe store, however I also like Aldo accessories, Roxy trendy clothes and fashion accessories, Tilly’s summer online collection.

8. Small rewards for better mood.

We all have these dark days when we feel like the world is going to fall on our heads. We are sad, unhappy for some stupid reason and don’t feel like dressing, putting make-up of fixing a trendy outfit. However being a woman means to look perfect every day, be smiley and energetic. So here is a tip how to cheer up in one of those “bad days” – buy something little and nice only for you! This always makes me feel better. It could be just a shiny bright nail-polish or a new mascara, but is something new and fresh. Make yourself small gifts, because you deserve it.

9. Hot trendy shoes.

Everybody will agree that the shoes are very important part of the trendy apparel. My idea is similar as the one I shared about the purses. When choosing your new pair of shoes, avoid the usual black and brown colors and make yourself trendy with a colorful and different design. This will build your own fashion style and unique outfit. My preferred shoe store is DSW, but I am sure we can find hot and affordable shoes at a lot of  places online.

These are some examples from the clearance section of the DSW online store:

two-lips naughty-monkey

Price: $79.00/$39.94                                                          Price: $70.00/$39.94

cl-by-laundry-madeline mia-loni

Price: $40.00/$29.94                                                             Price: $40.00/$9.94

Also a couple of ideas from Charlotte Russe:

Tie Dye Woven Wedges Painterly Platforms

Price: $26.99                                                                                          Price: $26.99

And some from Mod Cloth:

apartment-therapy-heels black-sand-beach-wedges

Price: $29.99                                                                                       Price: $32.99

hot-n-cold-flats-in-fuchsia superchick-flats

Price: $17.99                                                                                              Price: $29.99

10. Think positive, feel good!

My last tip has nothing to do with the trendy outfits, hot shoes or boutique purses. It is pretty much concerning our overall condition. I strongly believe that in order to feel good and have our life in control we must think positive all the time and not let the ugly thoughts darken our days. Since I watched the movie “The Secret” I understood all the bad and good things that happen to us are in one or another way provoked by only….ourselves. So people, if you think negative you risk all of your concerns hitting you with a great power and making your life impossible. And it is too short to waste it dealing with problems, people who talk behind our backs or disappointments. Just be happy, smiley, think positive and I promise:   YOU will look incredibly trendy and sexy :)
