Where there are friends, there is wealth…

With this post I would like to close the series of writings about friendship….for now…. Next time will talk about another important thing from this complicated life. Suggestions are always appreciated. Friendship is such a divine theme to talk about. Different things in our daily round may make us think about the people we love the most – nice song, emotional story, sensible movie.

Since I am in the USA I have watched the movie “Sex and the City” 5 times. Most of the people don’t like it, because it’s a story about four ladies not knowing what they want from real life even when they are 40 years old…bla bla bla….The reason I like this movie is because they show true, devine friendship and it makes me think about the people I love the most.  Every story in this film is about the beauty of the relation between people –  to be ready to get up at 2 in the morning and pass the whole city (New York city ), just because your friend is lonely and needs you. And that’s just a small example. The movie is full with stories that prove how important are our freinds. And I was crying watching this movie, because my friends back home are like this. I know they will be there for me, no matter what. That’s why I won’t be able to call it here home – simply because the ones that make it home are not next to me.

We need friends, we need someone to believe in us when we are down, someone to hold our hand when we feel weak, someone to dry the tears when we are sad. That’s what friends are for. It can not be just somebody to be hanging around with, drinking and having fun. Because life is not only fun and usually those that call you only for drinks won’t be there when you are not in a mood for party. People just need to believe there is somebody out there ready to stand behind them in the most difficult moments. That’s what makes us strong and confident.
