I am in a mood to talk about love again. Actually we talk or at least think about love every day. If our days are not touched by the beauty of love which may be passion, child’s smile, friend’s advice or just the shining sun, then we are on the wrong way and something should be changed. People can not live without love, because that’s what makes them human. Since we have already talked what happens when we are captured by the love at first – all the thrills and mixed feelings, I guess what comes after that should be discusses as well?
Once we find the love and we go through all the dizziness, obsession and passion what comes next? These initial and amazing feelings disappear after certain period of time – is this how long love lasts or the true love comes after? When we calm down and we get back the ability to think reasonably we start to enjoy other things. We are no longer obsessed of the lust. Now watching TV, having dinner, talking, laughing, joking, reading, sharing thoughts and ideas with our love is so enough and so pleasant, too. Our relationship develops from the lust to the understanding and sharing, it actually becomes reasonable. Now you don’t just have partner for sex, you have the one next to you and you can conquer the world together, because this world is made for two.
Does a stable relationship mean falling in love many times with the same person? I think that’s the answer to many questions. The real enigma is how to do this? Well, in theory is easy – do different things together, discover something new every day, don’t let the routine take over the passion. But do we really have time for these small and very important acts of love? Probably that’s what we need to work on, if we really want to share our life with exactly that one. Love is hard work, but don’t forget – hard work can hurt…sometimes.
“One word frees us of all the weight and pain of life. That word is love.” – Sophocles
